With this book, I'll train you in skateboarding and you'll learn lots of cool tricks with professional tips and photo sequences. The tricks build on each other, minimizing the risk of setbacks due to injuries, keeping you motivated, and helping you learn quickly. You may not understand some tricks right away, but that's perfectly normal. Trying out tricks and movements, but also learning to understand them, is the key to success! We'll start with the chapter “First Attempts” to find out how you get along with the skateboard. This is followed by a chapter for “Beginners,” simple tricks from different areas of skateboarding, which with a little practice can be mastered quickly and safely. “Tricks for Flatland Skateboarders” is a chapter with tricks that you can do anywhere you find flat ground, e.g., in front of your front door. This is followed by the chapter “Tricks for Skateparks.” The skatepark offers you lots of opportunities for tricks, but many of them also work on skateable objects in the city (if permitted). “Tricks for mini ramps/bowls” is the last chapter. For this, you need a mini ramp. I have also selected some easy tricks that you can learn quickly with a little skateboarding experience. All the tricks in this book are doable, and all the sequences are tried and tested tricks. Good luck and success! Guenter Mokulys
