The decks are pressed from Canadian Maple. The quality is excellent.
This graphic was created by a Finnish artist who was once out and about in Sternschanze with a Russian tattoo artist. The two discovered the subVert store in the basement, Lux reopened the shop for them, and they both fell in love with it. You can find Elias "Ilya" Erävalo on Instagram under Demoni666. Despite his name and his outfit, he's a really nice guy and, among other things, creates the cutest graphics.

Our recommendation for parents who want to choose the right first skateboard for their child, while it's not yet clear whether their child will develop into a trick skater or just wants to cruise/cover roads, but it's certain that they'll also roll on streets with poor surfaces (rough asphalt, sidewalk slabs with edges, etc.): choose a cruiser with Shark Wheels! (More on this below, under "Shark Wheel Upgrade")
If money is tight, choose Price Point if necessary, but then add the €20 for Shark Wheels. Gliding smoothly and reducing the risk of falling is the best way to start!

But because Volker Lux, a passionate skater and founder of subVert and the Skate School, wishes everyone the best possible start on their board AND we received feedback from beginner customers that they roll over everything with Sharkwheels that they would have fallen over with regular wheels, we believe that a beginner cruiser board should be equipped with Sharkwheels.
